Weather: translations and images

Post by Trijnie »

Hi,

Excellent script. I have installed it as a component in a portal.

1. Is there a possibillity to translate more? For example the day's and the date and perhaps things like "partly cloudy"?

Thanks for the feedback.

I am currently working on a 1.01 release which will have more functional date/time handling, and beefed up error handling. It should be released shortly.

I'm not sure what you mean about translation of weather descriptions. I take the feed directly from interceptvector's xml, and return what their description says. Please clarify if I'm missing your point.

Hello,

I have tried to translate a lot of things, but there are some things I cannot translate into my own language (dutch). Perhaps it's easier to post the url here:
http://www.persburo.net/mambo/index.php ... &Itemid=65

The words you recognise are the words that still need to be translated into dutch. I don't know if those things can be translated into another language, that is why I have asked you this.

Kind regards,

Trijnie

I'm sorry BTW for the confusion the first post created. I noticed that due to my enthousiasm, I forgot to mention that I meant the translation into another spoken language.

Ahh thanks for the clarification. I am somewhat at the mercy of what InterceptVector provides. Unfortunately, they only provide english.

I could build in the ability for people to create a translation file easy enough. Thanks for the excellent idea. I will see if I can get that into 1.10 as well.

Downloads via http://www.mamboportal.com (it's the number 2 of all downloads on that site): 73 times.

Thought you might want to know.

That's really cool. Thanks for letting me know you created that Mambo module. I hope to compile a list of places where it's being used. Did you make any use of the new 1.10 features?

Hi,

I have not made a component of the new release yet. I will do that later this week.

That's great, please make sure and post a URL to the package so I can add it to my list of links.
